This bacterium is attracted by the sugary substance left in your mouth after you eat candies or cake breaks down the sugar into acid.
When the sugar has been transformed into acid, this will cause the eventual damage to the teeth because this can create cavities. Cavity is the term used to describe a hole in the teeth. On adverse situations, too many plagues can cause a gum problem called gingivitis.
